EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps people heal from traumatic or upsetting experiences. It uses guided eye movements or tapping to help the brain heal naturally and makes the memories less painful. It doesn’t require talking in detail about the trauma, which some people find easier than traditional therapy.

It’s kind of like helping your brain “digest” a tough experience so it doesn’t keep causing emotional pain. EMDR is often used to treat PTSD but can also be used for anxiety, depression, and other distressing issues.
